OPEN POSITION: Account Manager
Job description:
Engage PR is looking for an organized and energetic team member to act as an Account Manager (AM) to join their Alameda-based team! Key skills for Account Manager candidate include the ability to:
- Serve as a primary client contact with the proven ability to manage and drive multiple client account programs and teams delivering strategic value
- Plan, develop and advise clients on integrated and measurable PR and social media programs
- Advise clients on positioning and messaging
- Demonstrate success with social media techniques
- Multitask across multiple client accounts and projects under deadline
- Ensure that key milestones and projects are on track, within prescribed timelines and on budget
- Develop and nurture media and analyst relationships with trade and business media
- Display exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Quickly grasp new technologies and account duties
- Directly manage day to day team activities on 3-4 accounts
- Supervise and mentor mid-to entry level team members
- Work with Account Director or Principal to manage client budgets and staffing
Requirements for the Account Manager position:
- A bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 5-7 years of experience in PR agencies or corporate communications (At least one year of agency experience is a plus)
- Experience and knowledge of tech PR
- Strong, established business and trade press and analyst relationships
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Desire to keep learning and advance within the agency
- Creativity and integrity
- Experience managing and mentoring team members
