From April Fools to Full-Throttle: The Relaunch of Engage PR

Five years ago, on April 1, 2020, I officially relaunched Engage PR. April Fools' Day seemed ironically fitting in the context of global uncertainties, as the world simultaneously grappled with the unprecedented onset of a global pandemic. Traditional avenues for industry engagement, such as tech trade shows like Mobile World Congress and RSA, suddenly vanished, and other events moved online, leaving startups and midsized companies scrambling to stay visible and relevant. While established companies felt the loss, startups that relied on trade shows to demonstrate solutions and meet prospects needed alternatives – and they needed them fast.

One of our clients, a startup in the 5G infrastructure market, turned to Engage PR for guidance. With in-person events off the table, we helped them shift to a virtual strategy that showcased their unique value proposition and perspective. We secured targeted media opportunities and ramped up their blog program to maximize online visibility. We also revised their PR and content strategy to highlight the distinct advantages of their platform. In tandem, we strengthened their analyst relations program to build validation and industry support. This experience clarified what so many companies needed at the time: strategic communications that could adapt quickly, fill critical visibility gaps, and position them for long-term success.

By leveraging these resources, Engage PR consistently enhances the impact and efficacy of our clients’ media engagements, ensuring the right stories reach the right audiences.

By sharing original insights from our clients’ executives and directly addressing industry challenges, our team empowers clients to become authoritative voices within the digital infrastructure sector. Consequently, Engage PR has prioritized creating high-value content tailored specifically for media professionals and target audiences. To amplify visibility and drive maximum engagement, If the pandemic taught us one thing, it’s that B2B tech companies must strategically leverage multiple channels and formats to enhance visibility and build credibility.
